Ihre Mischung aus Irish Folk, Rock und Pop hat ihr bereits mehrere internationale Auszeichnungen eingebracht, darunter zwei Meteor Ireland Music Awards und den Deutschen Musikautorenpreis in der Kategorie Rock/Pop. Ihre unbändige Energie auf der Bühne ist eines ihrer Markenzeichen: Die Irish Times schrieb einmal, die in Berlin lebende irische Künstlerin könne "die Wirtschaft eines ganzen Landes ankurbeln".

Im Rahmen der tipBerlin-Veranstaltungsreihe tracks & talk wird Wallis Bird auf der Bühne stehen und in einem exklusiven, intimen Konzert neue Songs vorstellen, unterstützt von irischen Musikern und Freunden. Im Anschluss an den Auftritt gibt es ein Gespräch mit tip-Redakteur Jacek Slaski über ihre Musik, ihre Inspirationen und das Leben an sich - und allen Fragen, die DU Wallis Bird schon immer stellen wolltest.

WALLIS BIRD has been thrilling audiences for over a decade with her musical might, playing over 1,000 shows in that time. Her mixture of Irish folk, rock and pop has earned her several international awards to date, including two Meteor Ireland Music Awards and the German Music Authors’ Prize in the rock/pop category. Her irrepressible energy on stage is one of her trademarks: the Irish Times once noted that the Berlin-based Irish artist “could jump-start the economy of an entire country".

For the tipBerlin event series tracks & talk, Wallis Bird will be on stage showcasing new songs in an exclusive, intimate concert, backed up by Irish musicians and friends. The performance will be followed by a chat with tip editor Jacek Slaski about her music, inspirations and life itself – plus all the questions YOU always wanted to ask Wallis Bird.
