Fred Sandback became known for his minimalist sculptures, for which he spun acrylic threads into geometric figures in spaces. Christina Quarles explores racial and sexual identities, gender, and queerness through her gestural abstract paintings. Her questions about sculpture and painting are the focus of the tour of both exhibitions.
